This year’s honoree is long time Friendly Son Brian M. Sheehan. His history of service to the Society is listed below as well as a special message from him attached.

Brian recently celebrated his 25th year with the Friendly Sons of St Patrick On long Island. During that time he has served in many capacities:

Distinguished Governor

Board of Governors

Member Emissary to Molloy College Irish Studies Institute

In addition he has served St Brigid’s Parish Millennium Board and CYO programs along with the Central Nassau Little League. Brian is also a member of the Irish Americans In Government as well as the Knights of Columbus Council #293 Greenpoint Brooklyn.

The Friendly Sons Golf Outing is always a memorable event for members of the Irish American Community on Long Island. You and your guests will enjoy the company of some fine Irish gentlemen and experience a day of golf that will remind you of a trip back home. From the Guinness on tap to the fast and rock hard greens, you will think that you have left New York and have been transported to County Kerry.

Fellow Friendly Son:

 “Landmark Unveiling” of the 1837 shipwreck of the “Mexico”. The 115 victims were mostly women & children of Irish decent.  

This event will feature multiple Color Guards, Bag Pipers, historical comments, a blessing, a moment of silence followed by a collation at the Saloon in the West End of Long Beach.
